Helmed by writer/director Max Gold (BEAST, Silicon Beach) and starring Ben Palacios(Disney’s Frozen Live, Love In The Time of Monsters ). Surfer’s Paradise takes place 100 years in the future, after The Singularity. Humans dropped the ball; the planet is destroyed and at war, and the AI are trying to piece the world back together.

“AI are often depicted as malevolent or untrustworthy, so we wanted to put humans under the moral microscope for a change,” says star Ben Palacios. “The protagonist, Ben, is conflicted to his core about choosing loyalty to his fellow humans, or the enlightened AI. This sort of dual motivation is an actor’s dream.”

“Our protagonist has lost his entire family and can never go home. He is bumping
around this dangerous, high-stakes world like an emotional pinball,” says writer/director Max Gold. “I was excited to tell a story from the vacuum left by loss that eroticism often rushes in to fill. This manifests in Ben’s forbidden, pan-sexual explorations with his Hosts, Oscar (Alex Fondja) and Kamiko (Mari Yamamoto).”

My opinion is that it looks amazing so far and I’d like to see a network picking up this show. It deserves at least two or three full length seasons. I will try to get an interview and update you about the state of the project. It’s literally AMAZING.
