Own opinion:
I have yet to see a Deadpool movie. Nevertheless, it should be one of this December’s highlights.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Release date: December 14(US), December 12(UK), December 21 (Sweden)

Plot: Miles Morales comes across the long-dead Peter Parker. This Peter Parker is not from his world though; he’s from somewhere else in the multiverse. With Parker’s guidance, Miles will become Spider-Man: and through that he will become part of the ever-expanding ‘Spider-Verse’.

Own opinion:
Already praised by critics. With an opinon based on the trailers, it looks like something special. Spidey is one of my favorite superheroes and the premises of the plot makes this one exciting. A MUST WATCH.

Mary Poppins Returns

Release date: December 19(US), December 21 (UK) December 25 (Sweden)

Plot: In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

Own opinion:
It should give the viewers nostalgia feelings. I am finding this title as lesser interesting than the other projects but it still seems to be sourrounded with hype – the official trailer has gained up to date around 10 million views.

Aquaman

Release date: December 21(US), December 12 (UK), December 13 (Sweden)

Plot: Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world.

Own opinion:
This one is THE movie. Warner Bros and DC has failed to turn their superhero- universe into the success Marvel gained of its. Early screenings are reporting a given contender for the king of the genre. I am into superhero movies but don’t care about the fanboy- war, thus enjoying everything that studios have thrown at us the last years. If you will see a movie these holidays, THIS IS THE ONE.
The trailers have been viewed for more than 55 – 60 million times.

Bumblebee

Release date: December 21 (US), December 24 (UK), January 4, 2019 (Sweden)

Plot: On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.
More info: the official IMDb page.

Own opinion:
This one should turn out interesting. The first spin- off of transformers with a new director. A possible contender to Aquaman, but the later’s popularity overshadows this one.

Holmes and Watson

Release date: December 21 (US), December 26 (UK), January 11, 2019 (Sweden)

Plot: A humorous take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic mysteries featuring Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson.
More info: the official IMDb page.

Own opinion:
Togheter with Mary Poppins Returns, it’s the movie that I am lest hyped for. The trailers’ audience is the lowest of all listed movies.
