‘KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC’ MOVIE MIGHT BE IN WORKS

STAR WARS: KOTOR Siths

Last month rumors concerning GAME OF THRONES- showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff working on a KOTOR- movie surfaced on the Internet. Without any direct confirmation from Lucasfilm, we can’t really be sure.

It would actually be too good to turn out true. “Why”, you might ask. Well mainly because GAME OF THRONES has become THE BIGGEST phenomenon in television history and because gamers that are fans of Star Wars would have their prayers answered. There were two games released on the original Xbox and almost everyone agree (at least the first) might be THE finest from the universe, with a mind-blowing setting, unlike anything seen in games of the franchise ’til that point in time.

A movie set in that time (thousands of year before the formation of the Galactic Empire) would also turn the titles to canon. The storyline follows Darth Malak, a Jedi-turned-Sith Lord, who unleashes a deadly Sith army on the Republic.

When asked if they were developing any projects around Knights of the Old Republic, Kathleen Kennedy (Lucasfilm head) stated that:

“You know, we talk about that all the time,” Kennedy said. “Yes, we are developing something to look at.”

Here’s her interview by MTV NEWS:

A couples of months ago, I have listed KoTor as one of the three sequels fans would like to see made.

The final chapter of the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER will be in theaters worldwide this Christmas. Gamers can look forward to JEDI: THE FALLEN ORDER – with the writer of KOTOR2 behind the script.
