‘STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER’ NEXT-GEN UPDATE RELEASED, HERE’S WHAT IT DOES

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order‘ has been a hit with both critics and audiences. Metacritic lists it at 79% from critics and 77% from users. And not only!

Released on November 15, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, it sold 10 million copies by March 31, 2020 (source: Venturebeat); a commercial success which most likely means that the game’s publisher – EA – and its makers – Respawn Entertainment (‘Apex Legends‘, ‘Titanfall‘) – will further develop the franchise. Not least because the patch/update released today.

The “next-gen optimization update” for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 is improving the visuals (in terms of framerate and resolution). Here follows a quick summary:

Xbox Series X
60FPS up to 1440p
30FPS up to 4K

Xbox Series S
60FPS up from 45

PS5
60FPS up from 45
1200p
