[MOVIES] ‘NATIONAL TREASURE 3’ COULD BE IN WORKS

There are two ‘National Treasure’- films, released around the middle of the ’00s, with Nicolas Cage as treasure hunter Ben Gates in the lead.

2004’s ‘National Treasure’ features one of the most AWESOME SCENES in cinema history: the stealing of The Declaration of Independence. The goal: to find a legendary Templar Treasure. With a budget of aprox. $100 million, the film grossed around $350 million worldwide.

In the follow-up – ‘National Treasure: Book of Secrets’ – Ben Gates must follow a clue left in John Wilkes Booth’s diary to prove his ancestor’s innocence in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. It managed to overtake the financial success of the original flick as the production’s estimated budget of $130 million turned into a worldwide gross of over $457 million.

The news that a third installment is in works comes from The Hollywood Reporter where it’s stated that Chris Bremner is writing the fourth ‘Bad Boys’ film and also ‘National Treasure 3’.

National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Nicolas Cage are ready for the project.

Now, this should NOT be taken as any confirmation as this project has been reported to be in works before. We should wait for more information.

[GAMING] THE ‘CALL OF DUTY’ FRANCHISE CLAIMS 7 SPOTS ON THE TOP 10 MOST SOLD TITLES OF PAST DECADE (IN US)

NPD Games is specialised in insights and analyses on the video games industry and use to make the data public.

Since we’ve just entered the ’20s, the statitics for the ’10s on the US market are compiled and THE KING AND HEAVYWEIGHTER is ‘Grand Theft Auro V’.

The most interesting part is that seven of the first ten spots belongs to the ‘Call of Duty’- franchise. All four ‘Black Ops’ titles are there, as well as ‘Modern Warfare 3’, ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Call of Duty WWII’.

There however more ‘Call of Duty’ games in the second half of the TOP 20: ‘Advanced Warfare’ claiming the 11th spot, the ‘Modern Warfare’- reboot (released on October 24th 2019) as 12th and ‘Infinte Warfare’ is 15th. This means that ALL of the COD- titles in the past decade made it to the top.

Check out the list by yourself below and compare it to the decade preceding it:

[GAMING] ‘MAGIC: LEGENDS’ GAMEPLAY RELEASED

‘Magic: Legends’ is a title that was announced at The Game Awards in December.

Looks a lot like a Diablo-style action RPG that unfolds in real time with players being able to build a deck of 12 cards and, as it seems in the trailer below, it works a lot like using abilities in other games of the genre.

It’s the first time fans are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fictional Multiverse of ‘Magic: The Gathering’ as a powerful, spell-wielding Planeswalker.

PLOT:
An ancient force moves in the darkness and it’s up to you to walk the planes and gather the power needed to fight. Choose your path through the planes, collect spells to create powerful spell hands, and control the chaos of battle as you fight to save the Multiverse from its greatest threat yet.

Magic: Legends is free-to-play, and will be available later this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Here’s the teaser cinematic trailer released at TGA 2019:

The trailer got GIANTS! How f*cking awesome isn’t that?? And MAKE SURE you see EVERY SINGLE SECOND of it, as you’ll get a glimpse at pre-alpha gameplay footage.

[GAMING] ‘CYBERPUNK 2077’ GETS PUSHED BACK

‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is one of this year’s most awaited titles. It is developed by the studio behind ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ – CD Projekt Red – and was intended to arrive on April 16th.

The studio reveals in a tweet that it is being pushed back to September 17th, five months than first planned. As you can read below, it’s “complete and playable” but “due to sheer scale and complexity” they need more time for “playtesting, fixing and polishing”.

BTW, you will be able to play it on PC, PS4 and Xbox One

[GAMING] ‘DOOM ETERNAL’ GETS A NEW TRAILER

DOOM Eternal is the next chapter in the franchise and that it’s soon to be released. The previous title arrived in 2016 and it was a great game. I’ve gotten a chance to play a demo version of DOOM Eternal at Dreamhack Winter 2019 (Nov 28th – October 1st) only to realise how awful I am at PC gaming (myself is gaming on consoles).

So basically, the plot is the following:

Hell’s armies have invaded Earth. Become the Slayer in an epic single-player campaign to conquer demons across dimensions and stop the final destruction of humanity.

The only thing they fear… is you.

Sounds fun to me!

Available March 20th on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.

[GAMING] NEW ‘RESIDENT EVIL 3 REMAKE’ TRAILER RELEASED

After Capcom’s success with Resident Evil 2 Remake, the RE3 Remake’s release is getting close. The producers of the game, have stated that it’s “is about 90%” completed and that “there will be no delay”.

The project was one of the worst kept secrets in the industry. After months of speculations- especially after RE2 Remake’s release – people just waited for it to be officially announced or revealed. And it was! During PlayStation State of Play live stream in December.

Resident Evil: Resistance will serve as the game’s multiplayer.

Resident Evil 3 will be released on April 3, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
