This is more than one week old but I feel as it should be covered.
Since 2012 with the premiere of ‘Arrow’, The CW has been home of a couple of DC series that followed as a result of the mention series’ success and fans quickly named the DCTV universe ‘Arrowverse’.
More than seven years later, five other shows air on the network:
‘The Flash’ is the second longest- running, after ‘Arrow’, is on its sixth season and is greenlit for at least one more.
DC’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ and ‘Supergirl’ will be getting a sixth season as well. ‘Black Lightning’ has had its first cross-over event tied to the rest of the Arrowverse with ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ and will return for a fourth season.
The newest addition to the line-up is ‘Batwoman’, a show that also shows lot of potential and will also return for at least a second season.
‘Arrow’ has two episodes left ’til its series finale. It’s not cancelled, it’s ending and there’s a spin-off series planned.
‘Magic: Legends’ is a title that was announced at The Game Awards in December.
Looks a lot like a Diablo-style action RPG that unfolds in real time with players being able to build a deck of 12 cards and, as it seems in the trailer below, it works a lot like using abilities in other games of the genre.
It’s the first time fans are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fictional Multiverse of ‘Magic: The Gathering’ as a powerful, spell-wielding Planeswalker.
An ancient force moves in the darkness and it’s up to you to walk the planes and gather the power needed to fight. Choose your path through the planes, collect spells to create powerful spell hands, and control the chaos of battle as you fight to save the Multiverse from its greatest threat yet.
Magic: Legends is free-to-play, and will be available later this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Here’s the teaser cinematic trailer released at TGA 2019:
‘Dark Alliance’ is a four player co-op action RPG set in Dungeons & Dragons’ Icewind Dale. It has been unveiled during the 2019 Game Awards and it’s coming to PC and (unnanounced) consoles in the second half of 2020.
It is said that players familliar with hte Dungeon & Dragons- universe will recognize some of the monsters and characters featured as they are created by fantasy writer R.A. Salvatore. He also has written the script to ‘Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone'(released 2004 for PC, Xbox and PS2) and ‘Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning'(released 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS4).
The game is a spiritual successor AND sequel to ‘Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance’.
The trailer got GIANTS! How f*cking awesome isn’t that?? And MAKE SURE you see EVERY SINGLE SECOND of it, as you’ll get a glimpse at pre-alpha gameplay footage.
The ‘Game of Thrones’- sequel series ‘House of the Dragon’ is aiming for a 2022 release, according to HBO programming chief Casey Bloys in an interview with Variety.
It is the story of the House Targaryen set 300 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’ (the book series are titled ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’) and is based from material from the imaginary history novel ‘Fire & Blood’, also written by George RR Martin.
The author wrote a blog post October 30th last year in which he opened up about the new show when it got ordered a full ten episodes long season.
There are/were more ‘Game of Thrones’- spin-offs planned and we know the fate of one of these: the one he kept calling ‘The Long Night’ and that was supposed to take place 8000 years before ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘A Song of Ice And Fire’ and go in-depth on The White Walkers- origin. It’s been sadly cancelled and more details are to be found in the linked blog post and the interview.
I’ll keep you updated as soon as new info emerge.
‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is one of this year’s most awaited titles. It is developed by the studio behind ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ – CD Projekt Red – and was intended to arrive on April 16th.
The studio reveals in a tweet that it is being pushed back to September 17th, five months than first planned. As you can read below, it’s “complete and playable” but “due to sheer scale and complexity” they need more time for “playtesting, fixing and polishing”.
BTW, you will be able to play it on PC, PS4 and Xbox One
Here’s more info:
So I wake up and got this news from a friend.
Eminem has just released a new music video, is titled Darkness and arrives with a new studio album (the eleventh) – ‘Music To Be Murdered By’.
No prior announcement was made, just like with the last one – ‘Kamikaze’ – released 2018.
‘Music to be murdered by’ is available now on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify and is guested by Skylar Grey, Juice WRLD, Ed Sheeran, Royce Da 5’9″ etc.
Here’s the ‘Darkness’ video:
DOOM Eternal is the next chapter in the franchise and that it’s soon to be released. The previous title arrived in 2016 and it was a great game. I’ve gotten a chance to play a demo version of DOOM Eternal at Dreamhack Winter 2019 (Nov 28th – October 1st) only to realise how awful I am at PC gaming (myself is gaming on consoles).
So basically, the plot is the following:
Hell’s armies have invaded Earth. Become the Slayer in an epic single-player campaign to conquer demons across dimensions and stop the final destruction of humanity.
The only thing they fear… is you.
Sounds fun to me!
Available March 20th on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.
