[NETFLIX] ‘ALTERED CARBON’ SEASON 2 GETS A RELEASE DATE

‘Altered Carbon’ debuted in February 2018 and proved itself to become a success for the streaming platform.

The plot centered around a future where consciousness can be digitally stored and transported to another body. Joel Kinnaman played as Takeshi Kovacs, a prisoner returned to life for the purpose to solve a murder and regain his freedom.

‘Avengers’ star – Anthony Mackie (photo above) – takes over the role for the next season, which consists of eight episodes, just like the first season did.

Brought back to life after 250 years by Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy) the richest man on Earth, ex-Envoy soldier Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman / Will Yun Lee) must solve Bancroft’s attempted murder for the chance to live again in a world he doesn’t recognize.

Based on the award-winning novel, Altered Carbon takes place in a future where the human mind can now be digitized and downloaded into a “cortical stack” and placed into new bodies, called sleeves. The series follows Envoy soldier Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman), who is brought back to life centuries later to investigate the attempted murder of Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy), the wealthiest man on Earth. As the investigation progresses, Kovacs comes to learn that his past isn’t nearly as buried as he thought. The series debuts exclusively on Netflix February 2nd, 2018.
