While we’ve already seen photos of the new designed Batmobile , we finally have a closer and more detailed look.
The project is being directed by Matt Reeves, whose credits includes directing ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ (2014) and my first impression is that we’ll see something simillar to Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’- trilogy; in other words, a closer-to-reality Batman.
That is supported by the fact that Reeves’ is said to have “re-worked the story to focus on a younger Batman, hoping to emphasize the detective aspect of the character to a greater extent than previous films“.
The role as the caped crusader at night and billionaire Bruce Wayne in the day will be portrayed by Robert Pattinson, known for his role as vampyre Edward in the ‘Twilight’- saga.
Because of the Co-vid19 pandemic, the project has been postponed since March and the release pushed. It was initially planned for June, 25th 2021, and moved to October 1st, 2021.
The Guardian has reported that high-end movies- and TV- projects are now greenlit to resume production and that includes ‘The Batman’, ‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ and the second season of Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’.
Here are the new photos.
The latest animated DC movie based on what is considered to be one one of the most legendary Batman storylines. The original Hush comic arc ran from 2002-2003 and was written by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee.
The plot centers around Batman facing a mysterious new foe that goes by the name Hush.
To be released some time this year.
Plot: Batman, Batgirl and Robin forge an alliance with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to fight against the Turtles’ sworn enemy, The Shredder, who has apparently teamed up with Ra’s Al Ghul and The League Of Assassins.
Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan – along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies – including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family – to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.
The all-new, feature-length animated film arrives on Digital starting April 24, 2018, and Blu-ray™ Steelbook, Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD on May 8, 2018.
Batman: Gotham By Gaslight has been rated R and will be available on Digital HD on January 23, 2018 and Blu-ray on February 6, 2018. It’s available for pre-order now.
After Ben Affleck‘s departure as the director of Warner Bro‘s and DC‘s movie project, there came rumors and reports about the candidates to helm the movie.
It was reported that Matt Reeves would take the role and many were rejoying, as some of his previously works are War for the Planet of the Apes(hitting cinemas this summer), Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Let Me In, and Cloverfield.
Shortly after that, it was announced that he stepped out of the project. Today it was announced that he, indeed, will helm the blockbuster. It has been quite a ride, hasn’t it?
Zack Snyder has posted a pic on his social media account on Vero of what it looks like when the visual effects are added to a film. Anybody viewing the picture can see that Batman is in it taking on one guy, with two others in the same room. Enjoy!
