‘Tenet’ is one of the latest major projects to get pushed back. It will however arrive just two weeks later than planned.
Other big projects pushed back were ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, ‘Black Widow’, ‘Mulan’ and ‘New Mutants’. (The following concern US theatrical releases)
‘Demolition Man’ (1993) was a face off between the characters portrayed by Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes – a cop against a crook. You may now think that’s just a regular action flick, right? Nah, it’s more than that. Follow me:
John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone) ends up being tricked by the crime lord Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes) into blowing up a building set-up to make it seem as if there still were survivors – their bodies being found afterwards.
Because of this, Spartan is charged with involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to a 70 year long cryogenically freeze in a new prison. Phoenix is also frozen. Thirty-six years later, he is being unfrozen for a parole hearing.
To make it short: the crime lord goes on a rampage in the city, and that’s a big problem because the society has evolved and there are no longer such crimes taking place with the police unknowingly how to act and use violence.
So they need Spartan back because he was the one to catch Phoenix. He is also unfrozen and assigned the task to stop the crime spree.
A young Sandra Bullock plays one of the supporting roles.
Do you remember the original Space Jam? The star was Michael Jordan, whom’s character saved the Lonney Tunes (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck etc.) from a bunch of aliens by winning a crucial game of basket? It was fun.
The sequel is named ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ and the lead is LeBron James. The film is set to release next July and the logo above was revealed by the basketballer himself on Instagram (kingjames) less than a day ago.
Here’s the official trailer to the original:
‘Black Widow’ is the next Marvel movie to release and it will do so on May 1st.
The movie takes place after ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and before ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and will follow Natasha Romanoff — the Black Widow — for one last mission.
More of her relationship with her sister Yelena Belova is revealed in this footage. This is the first project from Marvel’s Phase Four of its cinematic universe.
For more footage, check out the first teaser/trailer and the second trailer aswell.
There are two ‘National Treasure’- films, released around the middle of the ’00s, with Nicolas Cage as treasure hunter Ben Gates in the lead.
2004’s ‘National Treasure’ features one of the most AWESOME SCENES in cinema history: the stealing of The Declaration of Independence. The goal: to find a legendary Templar Treasure. With a budget of aprox. $100 million, the film grossed around $350 million worldwide.
In the follow-up – ‘National Treasure: Book of Secrets’ – Ben Gates must follow a clue left in John Wilkes Booth’s diary to prove his ancestor’s innocence in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. It managed to overtake the financial success of the original flick as the production’s estimated budget of $130 million turned into a worldwide gross of over $457 million.
The news that a third installment is in works comes from The Hollywood Reporter where it’s stated that Chris Bremner is writing the fourth ‘Bad Boys’ film and also ‘National Treasure 3’.
National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Nicolas Cage are ready for the project.
Now, this should NOT be taken as any confirmation as this project has been reported to be in works before. We should wait for more information.
It’s the twenty-fourth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Releases ten years since Natasha Romanova’s introduction as the Black Widow in Iron Man 2 (2010) and this will be Scarlett Johansson’s eight time playing Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, even ninth, if you count her cameo in Captain Marvel (2019).

Black Widow is about Natasha Romanoff in her quests between the Marvel cinematic universe films Civil War and Infinity War.
In US theaters May 1st.
Looks fun and action- packed, very likely another Marvel- hit incoming.
Bloodshot is based on the best-selling comic book which has sold over 7 million comics in all languages. Bloodshot #1 was a much anticipated comic that became a best selling issue and has gone on to sell approximately 1 million copies, making it one of the most popular in Valiant Comic’s Universe.
Vin Diesel portrays the main character and that alone makes this project interesting. The first trailer was released almoust three months ago.

As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility to get revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought.
In US theaters March 13.
The next character in the Spider-Man universe to get a movie is Morbius.
Played by Jared Leto, the transformation seem to be appreciated by fans. Morbius, the Living Vampire is, much alike Venom, an anti-hero, initially introduced as a villain.
He first debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 and it was the first issue of the series written by someone other than Stan Lee – instead created by writer Roy Thomas and originally designed by penciler Gil Kane. It was back in October 1971, after the same year’s lifted ban on vampires and certain other supernatural characters by the Comics Code Autorithy, which was decided in February 1971.
Morbius will be the second comic book portrayal for Jared Leto. The first one was the Joker in the DC Extended Universe.
Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.
In US theaters July 31st.
We get a short glimpse of how he *REALLY* looks like in the vampire form. There’s also a brief cameo from a familiar character in the MCU. You SHOULD SEE THIS!!!
‘Birds of Prey’ is the next DC movie to hit theaters and the eighth film in the DC Extended Universe, right after ‘Man of Steel'(2013), ‘Batman vs Superman'(2016), ‘Suicide Squad'(2016), ‘Wonder Woman'(2017), ‘Justice League'(2017), ‘Aquaman'(2018)and ‘Shazam!'(2019). This year’s ‘Joker has performed very well but is not connected to the DCEU.
Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) joins superheroes Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez).
Since earlier, it is known that Jared Leto will NOT reprise his role as the Joker leading to his partner – Harley Quinn – teaming up with the other (and mentioned) female anti-heroes in a plot that leads them into saving a young girl from an evil crime lord.
Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn is the main character and was introduced to the big screen by the same actress in 2016’s ‘Suicide Squad’.
Cathy Yan is the first Asian woman to direct a superhero movie. She is second woman to direct a DC film after Patty Jenkins (‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’). The film is R-Rated, which at least for me, is spicing things up.
There have been more trailers released prior to this.
‘Birds of Prey’ opens in US theaters February 7th.
The following concept pictures for ‘Avatar 2’ were shown by James Cameron yesterday in Los Angeles at the ongoing CES 2020- event.
Avatar 2 has just wraped up production and is set for a December 17th 2021 release.
There is however more to come, as there are plans for three more films in the franchise slated to premiere in theaters 2023, 2025 and 2027. Holidays openings is a qualified guess.

The New Mutants has been in works at least since 2017 when the filming took place in Boston from: July to September and should’ve been released in April 2018.
But a lot happened since then: Disney bought FOX, which back then had the license for the X-Men Universe. The film features four members of the original New Mutants group: Cannonball, Mirage, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, with Magik being a member from the second roster.
There is also information that the acquision led to Disney pushing back the premiere date for it not to compete with Deadpool 2 (2018) and X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019). It is also said that the producers took this opportunity to have parts of the film reshot so that it could be scarier. The inspiration would come from the success of recent horror films such as Get Out (2017) and It (2017).
Release date: April, 3rd.
It looks dark and scary. F*ck yeah, I’m in!
