More gameplay sequences from ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ have emerged and we’re in for more “starting June 6“, according to developer Larian Studios.

The title was announced last year (on June 6th). At the end of February this year, gameplay footage premiered.

During the past weeks, reports and rumors about a PlayStation 5 reveal event have been growing.

Sony has invited all of us to a PlayStation 5-dedicated ‘State of Play’- stream that will start at 10 PM CEST/ 9 PM BST on June 4.

This particular State of Play will focus on games:
That’s why I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.

The digital showcase will run a bit over one hour, so that’s exciting news! We will finally see some of the GAMES they’ve prepared for us.

We’re very likely TO NOT see the hardware yet, an exact release date (well, IT IS confirmed to launch this holiday, as quoted above) or price at this point. BUT, one must not despair. There’ll be more State of Play- events in the upcoming weeks and months, as Sony states that:
This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you.

Epic Games Store has another blockbuster free for grabs! After last week’s Grand Theft Auto V, it’s now time for gamers to enjoy ‘Civilization 6’!

And that’s a GREAT thing! Doesn’t matter if you’re a fan of the series, the TBS genre or you’ve just heard about the franchise and just wanna try it. Chances are pretty big you’ll get hooked.

This is the base- game, the entry which is described as the one with “the most dept” and is the latest release (October 2016). You can get access to the DLC- packs aswell, but those cost an extra penny. You should try this!

The offer is available until May, 28th, get it here.

Unreal Engine 5 was revealed a couple of days ago and everyone is talking about it. Epic revealed that their intention for “this next generation” is “to achieve photorealism on par with movie CG and real life“.

Up until now, devs using it for commercial purposes were taxed with 5 percent royalty on gross revenue above $3,000 per product and per quarter.

In a move that probably is aimed to gain a greater marketshare, Epic changes the royalty system:

This license is free to use and incurs 5% royalties when you monetize your game or other interactive off-the-shelf product and your lifetime gross revenues from that product exceed $1,000,000 USD.

That means that your game, or whatever you develop using their engine, has to exceed $1 million before you’ll need to pay Epic any royalty fees.

Here’s the ‘Unreal Engine 5’ revealed with a real-time demo running on PlayStation 5:

‘GTA V’ is available for free on Epic Games Store. And it’s not just the base game, it is Premium Edition.

The ‘Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition’ includes the complete GTAV story, Grand Theft Auto Online and all existing gameplay upgrades and content. You’ll also get the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, the fastest way to jumpstart your criminal empire in GTA Online.

The title was first released on September 17th, 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360 with the PS4 and Xbox One versions out on November 18th, 2014. The PC version arrived on April 14th, 2015.

Over 150 million copies have been sold since then, with the online mode proving to be HUGELY popular with players and big money spent on microtransactions.

Up for grabs for free until May 21th. Link above in the post.

The first two games in the ‘Tony Hakw’s Pro Skater’ franchise will make a re entry – this time on current gen consoles and PC. While it will feature most of the original soundtrack and will stay true to that classic gameplay and contain the same stages, it does bring some changes.

Beside remade graphics (which BTW look AMAZING), there’ll be some new tricks and changes to better the character- and skatepark- creation tools.

Official announcement trailer

The compilation remake is being developed by Vicarious Visions, the studio behind another great remake: ‘Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy’, a proven hit. This surely takes the expectation to another level, we should expect nothing else than greatness.

The original games were released 1999 and 2000 and were in fact HUGE at that time.

Also, Jack Black, yes, THE Jack Black – the actor and ‘Tenacious D’ musician – got his own YT channel (JablinskiGames), and he hung with Tony Hawk playing the game.

We’ll be able to play it on September 4th.

You probably remember ‘The Last of Us’, THE title that proved to be a major hit with audiences and critics. It was described as a technical masterpiece and was released just months before the release of current gen consoles.

It got a remaster on the PS4, BUT everyone, and I really mean EVERYONE have been waiting for the sequel since rumors regarding its development started spreading.

‘The Last of Us Part II’ was announced in December 2016. It takes place five years after the events of the original and we’ll get to play as the 19th year old Ellie in the post-apocalyptic United States.

It will be released on June 19th.

Naughty Dog has just began introducing the new ‘Inside The Last of Us Part II’ video series. A new video will arrive every week for the next couple of weeks and they start bywant talking about the story:

In case you missed it, the series is about to be adapted into an HBO show.

Just hours ago, as part of PlayStation State of Play, we got an extended look at ‘Ghost of Tsushima’s gameplay, including combat, the exploration, stealth, character customization, and much more.

This comes from the studio behind the ‘Sly’- and ‘InFamous’- series and therefore of great interest for me, myself, mine and I.

Seems great, doesn’t it? Some of your questions may be answered by the video:

‘Ghost of Tsushima’ is inspired by real events as it is based on the first Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274, with own ideas and twists.

We’ll get to take the samuraj-role on July 17th.

Reports about a remake of the first ‘Mafia’- game started with a couple of leaked screenshots and a release date pointing to the end of August. I’m using the word remake because info is pointing to an expanded story as well, besides a (great) visual overhaul, technically making it a remake rather than a remaster.

Since then, the franchise’s official twitter was updated for the first times since August 2018 and an official announcement is underway.

There are hints that there won’t be a remake of the first game… BUT, the word “trilogy” is being used instead, so a lot of people over the Internet are assuming we’ll be getting some kind of a new release of all three games. Interesting, I’d say.

May 19th, folks. We’ll know for sure.

Meanwhile, I got these for ya!

Unreal Engine 5 was revealed two days ago with a real-time demo running live on PS5 and it’s just as jaw-dropping as you would dream of. Well, beyond that actually.

This is the future and I’m really excited about this guys. It might take a couple of years ’til we get there but we’re in for a threat!

Epic states that the goals for “this next generation is to achieve photorealism on par with movie CG and real life, and put it within practical reach of development teams of all sizes through highly productive tools and content libraries.

This and more info about the new technology used to achieve this can be found on their blog:

A new ‘Battlefield’- game is ariving 2021. DICE is once again behind the next instalment, these things being officially confirmed now.

Back in October last year, publisher Electronic Arts told that it will be released sometime during the company’s fiscal year 2020, which means sometimes between
April 2021 to March 2022.

As the support for ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 2’ and ‘Battlefield V’ is being narrowed, more resources are directed to the project, which will be “targeting new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms“. That means Xbox Series X and PS5 versions are incoming.

It’s also stated by the source that EA has said a 2021- release is better becuase of the new consoles’ install base.
