This February, real-time strategy makes an explosive return to the Halo Universe with Halo Wars 2. Lead armies of Spartans and other Halo fighting forces like Warthogs, Scorpions and exciting new units in a brutal war against a terrifying new enemy. Featuring campaign, multiplayer, and the all-new Blitz mode, this is the biggest Halo battlefield ever. The action begins February 17th with Ultimate Edition early access.
Halo Wars 2 will no longer be getting a physical release for PC in the U.S., 343 Industries has announced.
In a post on Halo Waypoint, 343’s community manager Brian Jarrard explained that “retail plans have shifted and Microsoft has made the decision to focus the release of the physical retail version to Europe only.”
he digital version of Halo Wars 2 on PC will still be available worldwide when the game launches on February 21 for both PC and Xbox One.
Microsoft has just announced that the beta for Halo Wars 2 will start January 20 and last for the next ten days.

According to an earlier announcement, the beta will be available for both PC and Xbox One.
According to some reports, the game will enter beta and thus be playable by XBox One owners under the E3 convent in the beginning of next week.

Gamespot reveals Ghosts of Meridian – Halo 5‘s next free update, arriving in April.
The two new maps are called Skirmish at Darkstar and Tyrant.
