After more than a decade (14 years, to be exact) Missy Elliot is about to release a new album.

““I just finished a long project I been working on since last year,” Elliot announced in an Instagram post. Missy’s last major release was her 2015 single “WTF (Where They From)” with Pharrell. Back in January, Elliot became the first female rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

My generation remembers hits as “One Minute Man”, “4 My People”, “Lose Control”, “Pass that duch”, “I’m really hot”, “Work it”, “Get your freak on” etc. Today she is 47 years old and it’ll be fun hearing her new music.
