The reports pointing towards a viking/norse-set new ‘Assassin’s Creed’- title were true. Artwork was officially revealed (as seen above) and we’ll be getting a cinematic trailer tomorrow. Here’s the link for ya’ll waiting; it’ll be a live world premiere:
RUNE II is set in a dangerous Norse universe during Ragnarok, the end of days, where beasts and the last remaining humans alike struggle to survive.
More info can be found on the game’s official site.
I bet by now you are familiar with the Gods- slayer Kratos. My experiences are completing Chain of Olympus on PSP and God of War 3 on PS3. Yeah, the Ascension (PS3) demo as well.
However, I would be glad to buy the PS4 title – set in the Norse mythology – and at the same time complete the other titles in the series.
PS4’s GoW looks superb and here’s a 2 hours long documentary on making the game:

Raising Kratos documents the five-year, herculean effort to reinvent one of the greatest stories in gaming, God of War. Facing an unknown future, Santa Monica Studio took a massive risk, fundamentally changing their beloved franchise and re-establishing their rightful place in video game history. More than just a “making of,” this cinematic journey of second chances rooted in family, sacrifice, struggle and doubt follows game director Cory Barlog and those who chase perfection in art and storytelling. Witness the incredible defeats, the unpredictable outcomes and the down-to-the-wire tension on full display in this true-life redemption story.
Norse Mythology/The Norse Gods have had a profound impact upon civilisation, with tales of Odin, Thor, Borr, Surt, Mimir, Freya and Tyr captivating audiences since creation.
