‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order‘ has been a hit with both critics and audiences. Metacritic lists it at 79% from critics and 77% from users. And not only!
Released on November 15, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, it sold 10 million copies by March 31, 2020 (source: Venturebeat); a commercial success which most likely means that the game’s publisher – EA – and its makers – Respawn Entertainment (‘Apex Legends‘, ‘Titanfall‘) – will further develop the franchise. Not least because the patch/update released today.
The “next-gen optimization update” for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 is improving the visuals (in terms of framerate and resolution). Here follows a quick summary:
There has not been much info about this title since last year’s E3 when the whole world was told that Respawn was working on it. It was said a while ago that the title would be fully revealed at the STAR WARS CELEBRATION in April, and we now got a concrete date.
The reveal will come during a special panel on Saturday, April 13th.
The developers have just released the successfull APEX LEGENDS and are one of the world’s hottest right now. Blake Jourgensen (the economy boss at EA) earlier this year said that:
Looking forward, we’re delighted to launch Anthem, our new IP, to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall.
Titanfall 2 was released yesterday for XboxOne, PS4 and PC. The developers – Respawn Entertainment – and the publisher EA has today stated that the game will be getting free DLC.
“No Season Pass required: all maps & modes will be free in Titanfall 2 Multiplayer. This means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall. This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs. You can pre-order the game to play 3 days early, but it will never cost you extra.”
This just released: a teaser trailer for Titanfall 2. The first game was good, according to moste gamers, and was an XOne, Xbox 360 and PC exclusive. It had no single player mode, such as a campaign, for example. The talk is that the sequel will.
No release date is set yet but the platforms are confirmed. These are XOne, PC and PS4. According to the video’s Youtube description, first gameplay footage will premiere on June, 12.
Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that the sequel to Titanfall will not be showcased ar this year’s E3.
This comes hardly as a surprise as the game was just announced a couple of months back. EA has also said that it will be released somewhere during the financial year 2017. This would mean that we will see something at next year’s event.
Titanfall 2 will also come to PS4, besides Xbox One and PC. The first game was not released for Sony’s console.
