New ‘TERMINATOR’ Movie To Start Production This Summer

“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that,” Schwarzenegger tells TheArnoldFans in a new interview. “I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”

The movie is set to be the first part of a new trilogy and a sequel to T2: Judgement Day, which ignores Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator: Salvation, and Terminator Genisys. Linda Hamilton will also return to the franchise.

The movie is set to arrive in theaters on July 26, 2019.

Paramount Cancells ‘TERMINATOR: GENISYS’ Sequels

Terminator Genisys was planned to be the movie studio’s reboot of the Terminator franchise and woud have been followed up by two sequels. The first one out would have been titled Terminator 2. Does the name make you feel nostalgic? It won’t anymore, as the plug have been pulled from the franchise with zero sequels in the works or planned as of now.

Terminator: Genisys has not been received very well by the critics even thought it performed decent on the box office with $89.9 million in US, which is okay but perhaps not good enough for a film starring Arnold Schwarzengger and at the same a reboot for a popular franchise of that magnitude.

The movie performed better on the international box office grossing $350.8 million ($113.2 million in China) and perhaps it should have been enough, but it the end it was just not enough to convince Paramount to follow up their plans and give us the sequels.
