This trailer reveals footage hinting at what viewers could expect from the new show during this season.

First episode is available now on HBO.

Watchmen is one of this fall/winter most awaited shows. It’s inspired by (as in not based on) DC Comics series from 1986 to 1987, created by Alan Moore Dave Gibbons. It could work out. Why? Well, because I’d love to see the expanded universe – based on 2009 movie – and as the description below hints.

Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own.

October 20.

First teaser trailer for HBO's WATCHMEN series

I’ve seen Zack Snyder’s classic from 2009 and was impressed. I was 19 years old at the time and barely any knowledge of comics BUT characters as Rorschach and Dr Manhattan impressed me.

Last December I claimed Dr Manhattan to be the most powerfull character. A sequel series to 1987’s original comics – DOOMSDAY CLOCK – was announced 2017 and was a collision between The Watchmen and DC Universe’s other superheroes.

The series is described as a “modern-day reimagining of Alan Moore’s groundbreaking graphic novel about masked vigilantes”.

I have theories based upon the movie and what the teaser reveals. I’ll wait until I’ll publish these. But I want to mention that IT MIGHT take place AFTER the film.

Coming this fall on HBO.

If you’ve seen Watchmen, the movie or read the comics, you’re familliar with Dr. Manhattan. A HBO show is in the works (premieres next year) and a comics sequel to the original comics, which will include other DC characters, has started last year and it’s called DOOMSDAY CLOCK.

However, I’m excited by the fact that DR MANHATTAN probably will fight SUPERMAN. THE SHOWDOWN… Without spoiling too much, I AM SURE that THE BLUE “GOD” would win. I am not familliar with the comics, but if they’re on the same track as the 2009’s film, I would say that yeah, DR MANHATTAN is the most powerfull character…

#1 Of ‘DOOMSDAY CLOCK’ Was The Best Selling Comic Of November

The 12 issues comic book series assembles the DCU – the watchmen with the Justice League. The first issue was released on November, 22, and will span over a period of a year, with new issues every month.

Geoff Johns, one of the creators – has prior to the release, stated that Doomsday Clock is a sequel to The Watchmen – a comicbook series containing 12 parts and published by DC Comics from September, 1986 to October 1987 and turned into a critical acclaimed movie in 2009.
